Central heating repairs in London and Hertfordshire

Central heating can go wrong at any time. To help prevent it, make sure you service your boiler regularly and have your central heating checked as often as possible.

Common central heating faults

  • Blockages
  • A build-up of limescale or sludge
  • Slow leaks from pipe joints and fittings
  • Loss of system pressure causing the boiler to shut down

Regular servicing reduces the risk of future problems

Our Gas Safe registered engineers are trained to spot faults before they happen. We carry out planned preventative maintenance to prolong the life of your system and diagnose any faults. As installing a new boiler can be expensive and time-consuming, we recommend a central heating inspection every quarter.

When you report a fault, we will attend as soon as possible. Many problems are solved on the first visit. If not, we will give you a full estimate with a breakdown of costs and details of any central heating parts that need replacing.

Problems are often caused by sludge building up in your radiators, which affects performance and causes blockages. In that case we recommend a full powerflush, carried out by our qualified, experienced team.

Service your boiler like you service your car

A boiler is very like a car: its mechanical and electrical parts wear and develop faults over time. That's why planned preventative maintenance matters. We recommend a boiler service at least once a year. And just as you change the oil in your car, you should add inhibitor to your system and fit a sludge-reducing filter such as a MagnaClean to your existing or new installation.

“Dear Graham & Silas, thank you both for all your hard work and precious advice in putting in the new system for us. We hope we may use your help again in future.”
